550 Lumens? ANSI Lumens? IDMS? Lux ? Other?

We use industry-standard IDMS lumens (ANSI) for true brightness measurements. Color and white light outputs can vary with usage. Color light is measured as per IDMS 15.4 and white light by ISO 21118 standards. Other metrics like Led Lumens, Color Lumens, Lux, Lumina aren’t equivalent to true ANSI Lumens.

Does it project very brightly?

For optimal results with the Screeneo UL5 Smart, use it in “Movie” mode in a dimmed setting, akin to a theater environment for enhanced contrast and color. An ALR screen can further boost brightness. Remember, this device is designed for dark room use.

Is there a warranty?

The warranty is 24 months from the date of reception. This Warranty does not cover and shall be void for defects or damages resulting from casualty, accident, transportation, misuse or abuse, liquid, viruses and spyware, neglect, alterations, and service or repair by other than Philips / Screeneo Innovation SA. Satisfaction claims

If you receive a faulty device, you are able get an exchange ONLY within a period of 24 calendar months. For this you must report the issue to us directly by email to [email protected]. Our Customer Care will then contact you for the exchange, The conditions for said return to be accepted are for all the contents of the unit to be included. Failing to do this will result in the return being declined and sent back to you at your expense.

I'm purchasing on behalf of a company

As our company is based outside the European Community, we bear the VAT during import, passing this cost to our Indiegogo pre-order backers. Please note, we’re unable to issue official invoices.

VAT and Taxes

  • For EU: the Shipping will be collected through Indiegogo. VAT/ taxes will be collected after the campaign ends.
  • For all countries outside of the EU: GST/Taxes/State Taxes will be collected by the courrier company at delivery. Only the shipping will be collected through Indiegogo. Please check the STORY tab in order to see the amount of taxes to be paid for each EU country.

I'm purchasing on behalf of a company

Our company being domiciled outside the European Community, we have to directly pay for the VAT when importing the goods into the European Community, and pass this cost on to the backers who participated in the pre-order on Indiegogo. Furthermore, we will not be able to issue an official invoice in addition to the ones sent by Indiegogo (Email you should have received when purchasing the device) and Backerkit (Survey Summary, just before shipping).

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
